The John Howard Society relies on donations to assist in building a safer Newfoundland & Labrador. Your donation helps to further our efforts, assisting prisoners on their road to rehabilitation while promoting just, effective and humane responses to the causes and consequences of crime.

Volunteer Your Time
The John Howard Society engages the services of volunteers throughout the agency, from the governance level to direct assistance of clients and their families. The links below will show how volunteers are an integral part of the agency.
Adult Community Residential Centres
Help maintain a clean, safe home for residents at Howard House (St. John’s) & Westbridge House (Stephenville).
Prison Services
Make a difference in local inmate’s quality of life by volunteering for 121 Prison Visitation or Prison Library Program.
Governance
Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization including our Board of directors.
