Annual Children’s Christmas Party

Each year, the John Howard Society of Newfoundland holds a Christmas Party for approximately 50 socially disadvantaged children, who have parents that are incarcerated or have been recently released.

Referrals of the families are made from Correctional Service of Canada, Her Majesty’s Penitentiary, Adult Corrections and other John Howard Society programs.  The Christmas Party is fully supported by volunteers and community donors, who provide entertainment, food and beverages, children’s gifts, etc. for the party.  We wish to extend our sincere appreciation to the numerous individuals and businesses who contribute to the party’s success every year.  The generous donations are very much appreciated by the staff, families and especially the children.
